She Came Back as the Okami
Aoi Tachibana married into the Kuga family and ran the Akane Inn's books and rooms for three years, until the night of the Maple Banquet, when the founder's tea bowl went missing and was found in her wardrobe. Her mother-in-law, the okami Tomoe Kuga, put her out of the gate in the rain, her husband Takeru said nothing, and within the year his lover Reika Shinozaki was the young okami. Tonight, three years to the night, a black car stops at the gate: the creditor's representative has come, and the family seats her at the lowest place and pours her tea in the chipped cup, without knowing her. Then she lays a deed on the low table. Aoi has seven days of grace to give them, a key to an east storeroom that old Genzo kept, a bowl that may not be the founder's, and one rule of the house that only she remembers: tea is poured to seven-tenths.
